Confirmation
Words from our pastor:
Dear Parents:
As the pastor of St. Luke’s Parish, I am writing to let you know that we are now taking registrations for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Children currently in Grade 6 are potential candidates for the reception of this Sacrament. If your child is baptized and has received the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist, we can assist you and your family in preparing him/her to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation.
As you may know, the Catholic Schools provide Religious and Family Life Education for all students. The immediate preparation for the sacraments takes place at the parish. Bishop William McGrattan, of Calgary, has led the development and implementation of a Sacrament Preparation Program that is consistent in all of our parishes.
The program that we will be using will be “Decision Point” by Dynamic Catholic. There is a fee of $25 for the cost of the workbook that each student will receive. The registration form, the required documentation and the $25.00 fee for this Sacrament must be brought into the office no later than noon on Friday, April 14, 2023
We are looking forward to supporting your child in prayer as he/she prepares to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Fernando Genogaling
Pastor
