St. Luke’s Parish started in 1964 under the guidance of Fr. Denis Fleming. The Church was dedicated on June 16, 1968 by Reverend Paul O’Byrne who later became Bishop of the Calgary Diocese. Architects for the church were Cohos, Delasalle and Evamy. The parish originally served a congregation of 650 families. By 1980, at which time the parish centre and office complex were added, the number of registered families had increased to 2000. In 2003, with 3181 registered families, diocesan approval was obtained for a renovation & addition project which was completed in 2005.
